NT Global’s Visualiser (3D and 2D visual reporting)

NT Global’s Visualiser is an in-house 3D, 2D and abstract visualisation reporting tool for both thick and thin client reporting. It supports the aggregation of disparate sets of data from numerous sources (SQL database, flat-file, SCADA trend data… to name a few). Visualiser can cluster and group data into new sets, groups and classifications, for high level views of complex data sets, basically for near real time analytics, and can present the data to the user in any visual form that is necessary in 3D or 2D. It also supports animations. Visualiser allows the reporting of variable parameter series data; the user is not only limited to time-series comparisons. Visual editors supplied with NT Global’s Visualiser allow implementers to configure the data sources, apply calculations/transformations and configure the end visual result; a by-product of this is that no tedious scripting or specialized skill is required on the implementer’s behalf, however, scripting in XML is possible if the implementers have a preference for scripting. Visualiser uses the .NET platform and Direct 3D for its visual rendering, however a Java based variant also exists for portability across platforms, taking advantage of OpenGL.

Underground Coal Gasification Analytics System

Using Dimensional Insight’s OLAP business intelligence platform, NT Global produced an analytics system designed to report the results of the Underground Coal Gasification process. SCADA and operator data can be collected via satellite link from remote mining locations, aggregated together centrally, and reported on via custom dashboards / visualizations over a secure VPN.
